Haris Rauf Fined 20% of Match Fee by ICC After On-Field Clash With England
Haris Rauf has been fined 20% of his match fee by the ICC after an on-field confrontation during Pakistan’s one-wicket win over England in Lahore. The incident earned him a demerit point, taking his total to five.
The incident occurred at the end of the 46th over of Pakistan’s innings. Standing at the non-striker’s end, Rauf initially appealed to the umpire for a wide ball before becoming involved in an argument with England all-rounder Will Jacks.
Despite umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid asking him to stop, Rauf continued to express his frustration. He raised his bat in the air, ignored the umpire and brushed past him before continuing to advance towards the English player in a confrontational manner.
The ICC found Rauf’s conduct to be a breach of its Code of Conduct, ruling that his actions were contrary to the spirit of the game. Along with the 20% fine, the Pakistan fast bowler received one demerit point. This was his third disciplinary incident in the past two years, bringing his total to five demerit points and leaving him facing the possibility of a ban.

England Also Penalised for Slow Over-Rate
Rauf was not the only player to face disciplinary action following the match. England were also penalised for maintaining a slow over-rate, having bowled three overs fewer than required within the stipulated time.

ICC match referee Jeff Crowe imposed a fine of 15% of the match fee on England captain Harry Brook and the entire team for the offence. Both sides accepted their respective sanctions and admitted their mistakes without contesting the decisions.
On the field, Pakistan secured a dramatic one-wicket victory over England, powered by Shadab Khan’s unbeaten century and an 89-run partnership for the 10th wicket between Shadab and Haris Rauf.
